MUTIS

The port of Buena Ventura, a Colombian city on the
Pacific Ocean, was once the main landing and
embarkation center for goods from Europe and the
nearby Asia, headed for Spanish ports. Surrounded by wild and uncontaminated nature, the
Pacific coast of Nueva Granada remained
uninhabited for a long time and at the mercy of dangerous pirate gangs. BAHIA contains the essences that were loaded onto the vessels
that sailed these troubled waters: precious cargoes of
spices, ointments, fruits and plants, unknown to Europe, and therefore sought after and desired by all the European courts.
